The Nobel Prize in Literature 2012 is awarded to Chinese writer Mo Yan "who with hallucinatory realism merges folk tales, history and the contemporary," said Englund at a press conference.
Mo Yan, a pseudonym for Guan Moye, was born in 1955 and grew up in Gaomi in Shandong province in eastern China. His parents were farmers.

"In his writing, Mo Yan draws on his youthful experiences and on settings in the province of his birth. This is apparent in his novel Hong gaoliang jiazu (1987, in English Red Sorghum 1993)," said the academy in a statement of Mo's biography.

Through a mixture of fantasy and reality, historical and social perspectives, Mo Yan has created a world reminiscent in its complexity of those in the writings of William Faulkner and Gabriel Garcia Marquez, at the same time finding a departure point in old Chinese literature and in oral tradition, the academy commented in the biographical statement.

Being the Nobel prize winner( prizes that are admitted by the government), Mo Yan has already fulfilled many Chinese people's dreams of several generations. Although the nobel prize is often involved in politics purpose, but we still congratulate him for  being the first Chinese Nobel prize winner.

Little Cute Owls Hug For Their First Flight

When you’re taking a leap of faith, you need a little support from your friends.
But as these fledgling owls in Israel prepared for their first flight, even a group hug wasn’t enough to stop one opening its eyes and appearing to contemplate the drop below.
Amateur photographer Vladimir Kogan hid nearby and waited patiently for these three owls to emerge from their burrows near the town of Beit She’an.
Known as Athene noctua or Little Owls, these birds were sacred to the goddess Athena in Greek mythology and is usually found in the warmer parts of Europe, Asia and North Africa.
They grow to up to 10 inches in length and prey on insects, earthworms and even small birds and mammals.

They were introduced to Great Britain in 1842 by British aristocrat Thomas Powys and are now acclimatised here.

The Two Day Self-driving Tour On Weekend

We had a two-day self-driving tour on last weekends and it's really  fantastic for us. Although i am quite familiar with that city,  self-driving tour, go street shopping and mountain climbing are much better than staying at home with computer and TV. 

Started at 8:20 on Saturday, we begin our self-driving tour towards the city i used to be worked five month ago. Since it's my first driving tour, the whole three hour driving is not that boring. At 11:30, we get our destination and have lunch in a old style 60s traditional restaurant. 

For the later time, we visited a historical relics, boated on a famous lake and visited the famous Underwater World. It's really a awesome feast for eyes.The Underwater World is  especially gorgeous. You can hear screams for the dolphin show and the exciting faces when they saw the beautiful jellyfish, even though most of the jellyfish are poisonous.

We got home at 6:00 pm and fell a little pain on the leg. It's a natural reaction for strenuous exercise while we almost have no exercise daily. My only exercise perhaps is the two hours crowded bus experience,lol. It's better for me to go outside on weekends rather than staying at home sometimes. OK, i will to make it

Why I'm Divorced

Last week was my birthday and I didn't feel very well waking up on that morning.

I went downstairs for breakfast hoping my husband would be pleasant and say,
'Happy Birthday!', and possibly have a small present for me.

As it turned out, he barely said good morning, let alone ' Happy Birthday.'

I thought....well, that's marriage for you, but the kids.... they will remember.

My kids came bouncing down stairs to breakfast and didn't say a word. So when I left for the office I felt pretty low and somewhat despondent.

As I walked into my office, my handsome boss Rick, said, 'Good morning, lady, and by the way Happy Birthday!' It felt a little better that at least someone had remembered.

I worked until one o'clock, when Rick knocked on my door and said, 'You know, It's such a beautiful day outside, and it is your birthday, what do you say we go out to lunch, just you and me.'

I said, 'Thanks, Rick, that's the greatest thing I've heard all day. Let's go!'

We went to lunch. But we didn't go where we normally would go. He chose instead a quiet bistro with a private table. We had two martinis each and I enjoyed the meal tremendously.

On the way back to the office, Rick said, 'You know, It's such a beautiful day...we don't need to go straight back to the office, do we?'

I responded, 'I guess not. What do you have in mind?'

He said, 'Let's drop by my place, it's just around the corner.'

After arriving at his house, Rick turned to me and said, 'If you don't mind, I'm going to step into the bedroom for just a moment. I'll be right back.'

'Ok.' I nervously replied.

He went into the bedroom and, after a couple of minutes, he came out carrying a huge birthday cake, followed by my husband , my kids, and dozens of my friends and co-workers, all singing 'Happy Birthday'.

And I just sat there....

on the couch....

Funny Gangnam Style Dances

You know what, the biggest stories out of South Korea these days is the phenomenal viral hit of "Gangnam Style". This  music video for “Gangnam Style,” released by South Korean rapper PSY, so far has garnered tens of millions of views on YouTube.

This funny video has already lead to a Gangnam Style imitation all over the world. Several days ago, fourteen lifeguards in El Monte, California, lost their jobs over a “Gangnam Style” parody video.  That's really over-costed, lol
